I RECENTLY HAD THE CHANCE TO MEET THE INSPIRING LORNA JANE HERSELF & PICKED UP HER LATEST COOKBOOK 'NOURISH' WHICH HAS LED ME TO WRITE THIS POST. I'M TELLING YOU NOW IT IS NOT JUST ANY COOKBOOK & IT DOESN'T ONLY CONTAIN RECIPES. IT IS FULL OF A WHOLE BUNCH OF AMAZING, UPLIFTING GOODNESS WHICH IS GREAT FOR NOURISHING YOUR MIND, BODY & SOUL!

THE WORD NOURISH TO ME HAS A LOT MORE MEANING THAN JUST PUTTING HEALTHY, NUTRITIOUS & WHOLESOME FOODS INTO OUR BODIES AND DON'T GET ME WRONG THAT IS DEFINITELY IMPORTANT TO LIVING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE FOR SURE, SO KEEPING DOING THAT! I FEEL THE OTHER WAY WE CAN NOURISH OURSELVES IS THROUGH OUR MINDS, OUR SOULS & OUR SURROUNDINGS BY DOING THE THINGS THAT BRING US JOY, SPENDING TIME WITH PEOPLE WHO LIFT US UP & GOING TO PLACES THAT OPEN OUR MINDS & BRING US TO LIFE!

WE ARE IN CONTROL OF WHAT WE NOURISH OUR BODIES & MINDS WITH.. WE MAKE THE CHOICES EACH DAY TO EAT WELL, WE HAVE THE CHOICE TO DECIDE ON THE OUTLOOK WE WILL HAVE FOR THE DAY WHEN WE WAKE UP & WE MAKE THE DECISION OF WHO WE SPEND OUR TIME WITH. SO WE NEED TO REMEMBER WE CHOOSE OUR OWN THOUGHTS, WE CHOOSE OUR BEHAVIOUR, WE CHOOSE THE OUTCOME. EVERY CHOICE WE MAKE DETERMINES HOW WE FEEL MENTALLY,  PHYSICALLY & EMOTIONALLY. 


SOME SIMPLE TIPS TO NOURISH YOUR LIFE

1. START EACH DAY WITH A POSITIVE THOUGHT: AS YOU WAKE UP IN THE MORNING TAKE A FEW MOMENTS TO CHECK IN WITH YOURSELF. TAKE SOME DEEP BREATHES IN THROUGH THE NOSE OUT THROUGH THE MOUTH. THINK OF ALL THE THINKS YOU ARE THANKFUL TO HAVE IN YOUR LIFE.

2. BE PRESENT: IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT TO BE PRESENT IN EACH MOMENT YOU ARE IN EVEN IF ITS A SIMPLE ONE. TRY TAKING THE TIME TO REALLY ENJOY YOUR NUTRITIOUS BREAKFAST INSTEAD OF RUSHING THROUGH IT.

3. LEARN TO FORGIVE: SOMETIMES IT CAN BE A HARD TASK TO FORGIVE SOMEONE FOR DOING WRONG BY YOU BUT TO FORGIVE DOESNT MEAN TO FORGET IT JUST MEANS THAT YOU WANT TO MOVE FORWARD. WHEN YOU HOLD ONTO ANGER TOWARDS PEOPLE IT TAKES UP SPACE WITHIN YOU THAT IS STOPPING YOU FROM FEELING TRULY HAPPY. 


5. EMBRACE YOUR MISTAKES: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS PERFECT.. WE ARE ALL PERFECTLY IMPERFECT HUMANS! SEEING A MISTAKE AS A LEARNING EXPERIENCE RATHER THAN JUDGING YOURSELF AS NOT GOOD ENOUGH WILL HELP YOU LEARN MORE ABOUT YOURSELF & ASSIST IN GETTING BETTER AT SOMETHING.

4. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH SUPPORTIVE PEOPLE: IT IS EXTREMLEY IMPORTANT TO ONLY SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO LIFT YOU HIGHER & SUPPORT YOU. BE SURE TO SPEND YOUR TIME WITH PEOPLE WHO BRING YOU JOY & HAPPINESS.
