I'm back home on Aussie turf after a week away exploring the shores of New Zealand.. I loved the country. I found it had a lot of similarities to Australia, and made me feel like I was still quite close to home, minus the accent of course.
We spent most of our time in a little town called Martinbourogh & stayed in a quaint little cottage right in the centre of town. We travelled there for the wedding of some good friends of ours 'The Whites'. The wedding was held in a winery called Poppie's (Martinborough is famous for it's wineries) I do have to say Poppie's was one of my favourites, it had a modern rustic charm to it!
We spent a little time travelling around the countryside when we weren't preparing for the wedding or when Jays wasn't doing his best man duties. It really is so beautiful and the mountain views are just stunning. We event made friends with the town pig.. who when you called our 'Pig Pig' he'd come running and snorting just to see whats going on (all in the hopes for some food)
We only spent a few hours in Wellington, but the main street was full of great shops & we found a small sushi resteraunt tucked away in one of the side streets, we'd been craving it for the whole week.. (we are avid sushi lovers when at home).
All in all it was beautiful trip and I love that I got to step foot in New Zealand and spend some time their with friends & my love.
Enjoy some happy snaps from the time we spent away below.
