I've been speaking a bit a about health & mental health in my recent posts and I feel it is something we all need to chat about more..I believe that life throws many different ups and downs to test us, teach us and show us ways of handling different situations we find ourselves in whether it be physically or mentally. This week I started my week feeling a bit lacklustre.. I just sometimes have those days where I feel a bit negative & a bit down and it can be hard to get out of the rut I talk myself into.. Speaking honestly I used to experience these times a lot more frequently a few years ago.
I find to help myself make my way back onto the happiness train, I need to turn my negative thoughts around & focus on the positives in my life.. the things I am thankful for.. Like my family, friends, the job I have, the beautiful place I am blessed to live in. I also find talking about it really helps.. getting it out of your head and putting out there really does help whether its spoken or written. I had a chat with my bestie Kate while we were emailing yesterday who gave me the advice that 'different things pop back up as a reminder to show us how far we have come'.. And I really believe her.. as I sit here and think back, I really have come a long way with my mind, my body & the life I have created for myself and I should be proud of that.
I am glad I could share that with you as I know I won't be the only one who has those down days or weeks where things just get the better of us.. and we need to tell ourselves that is okay to feel down, we just need to learn the best ways to pick ourself back up thats right for us.
