"LIVE IN THE SUNSHINE, SWIM IN THE SEA & DRINK THE WILD AIR". – RALPH WALDO EMERSON
Have you ever thought about how the ocean connects us all? Isn't it crazy/amazing to imagine the water at your local beach could have been all over the world.. Each grain of sand between your toes may have travelled from different parts of the world, through every sea on an adventure to find itself below your very feet.. It blows my mind & makes me feel a little more connected to this beautiful planet we live on.
Okay so enough mind blowing.. You know what I really love about the feeling of being by the sea is to be at the beach watching the sets flow, listening to the waves crash, squishing my toes in the sand & seeing the sunshine sparkle over the wavy blue water.. it brings all of my senses alive & refreshes my mind to be by the sea. To be by the water also really encapsulates what Summer is to me (and I guess many others too).. whether it be walking down by the beach, relaxing by the pool or having a picnic at my local creek with friends & family ..that has to be one of the best things about Summer.. quality time with loved ones, spending some time in the sunshine & delicious summertime food all the time creating memories that last a lifetime.
This post is an exciting collaboration & my competition entry with some of my favorite brands Roc Eyewear, August Street, Pink Stitch (which was one of the very first brands I featured on my blog here) + The Luxe Nomad in the ultimate summer blogger competition with the theme of ‘Eclectic Roc and Roll Summer - A Summer style post by the water’. I shot this look on Four Mile beach on my recent trip to the beautifully tropical Port Douglas.
WHAT DOES BEING BY THE WATER MEAN TO YOU?
