I woke up this morning to a cold snap and I ideally wanted to snuggle in my cozy blankets a little longer but worked beckoned so I made myself get up (slowly). I was struck down with a horrible virus/fever last night..cramping, aches, headache and nausea.. I don't get sick too often which is a plus but I am happy to say I am feeling a little better this morning..fingers crossed it was a 24hr thing and I don't continue to feel that way.

Today I am featuring the winter cape.. a blanket style cardigan one could say. I actually put this very Forever New ebony cape on this morning when I peeled myself away from my warm bed (it's not even winter yet, I'm just being a sook). Anyways what I am wanting to say is It's the perfect piece for being cozy at home or heading out on a cooler day or night and also being comfortablely fashionable! I styled it here quite casually with fitted denim jeans and then added a heeled boot to make it a little more dressy.. casual chic?

The humidity has been easing day by day lately on the coast and it has even been feeling a little cooler at night which is nice. It has me a little excited about the Autumn/Winter fashion to come this year & pulling out some of my favorite staples from last year too.

Some people say we don't really get much of a  Winter here on the Gold Coast (each to their own) I feel the cold (mostly on my feet haha) and I believe we definitely get winter here! But the plus is we do get a lot of warmer winter days that we can throw on a pair of shorts with a blazer, coat or knit & it's bearable!

Today's outfit post features some Navy suiting by Lavish Alice. I adore this cape blazer as it's a step away from the usual black you would find in a blazer/cape and it is going to be a staple for me as the days get cooler. I teamed it here with matching shorts but I could also see it worn with black jeans, a white leather skirt or a pencil skirt in an array of colours & the list goes on.. Navy is the new black!
